Eco-Friendly Educational Chart: A Low-Cost Innovation Using Newspaper and Homemade Glue
As part of our B.Ed. coursework on innovative teaching aids, we undertook a project to design a low-cost educational chart using recycled newspaper and eco-friendly, homemade glue. The objective was to create a sustainable, cost-effective, and pedagogically useful teaching material. The chart was made using old newspapers as the base, and glue prepared from flour and water—demonstrating that effective teaching aids can be developed using readily available household materials. This project enhanced our creativity, resourcefulness, and understanding of environmental sustainability in education. Such practices empower future teachers to adopt low-cost methods, especially in under-resourced schools, while promoting environmental consciousness among students.

Campus Cleanliness Drive by B.Ed. First Semester Students: A Step Towards a Cleaner Institute
As part of our commitment to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and community responsibility, the B.Ed. First Semester students of the Government Institute of Advanced Study in Education organized and actively participated in a cleanliness drive within the campus premises. This activity aimed to promote hygiene, environmental awareness, and a sense of ownership among future educators. The students cleaned classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, and surrounding areas of the institute. The initiative not only improved the campus environment but also instilled the values of civic sense, teamwork, and responsibility in teacher trainees. Such practical efforts are essential in shaping socially responsible educators who lead by example.
